Child and Family Counseling:
I work with kids who are dealing with: anxiety, depression, anger, behavioral problems, ADHD, issues with self esteem and peers, developmental issues, difficulties at school, divorce, and other life transitions. When working with kids and teens, I will incorporate parents and other family members in therapy when needed. I come along side parents to gain tools needed to create a supportive and structured environment for kids to grow. I work with families that are dealing with conflict, divorce, adoption, fostering, blended families as well as other family issues. When working with families my goal is to help them gain understanding of each individual within the family as well as learning ways to work together as a unit.

Couples Counseling:
I work with couples in all phases of life; dating, premarital, new parents, empty nesters, and blended families. I also work with couples struggling with, trust, communication, parenting difficulties, and loss of intimacy. I am certified in Prepare/Enrich, an assessment that helps couples identify the unique strengths and potential growth areas within their relationship. Couples counseling is a place for both members of the relationship to feel heard and validated. This environment enables you as a couple to increase relational satisfaction by developing healthy interactions and fostering mutual respect as you talk through difficulties. My primary clinical approach to couples counseling is Emotion Focused Therapy. The objective is to gain a deeper understanding of your emotional responses to each other and create new interactions that redefine your relationship with openness and connection. I also draw from Hope Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Gottman, and Imago Therapy. I work collaboratively with you as a couple to move towards a healthier and more satisfying relationship.

Individual Counseling:
I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, anger issues, life transitions, loss, trauma, work and career issues, conflict resolution and relationships issues. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to address a variety of emotional and behavioral issues. EMDR has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. My goal is to provide a comfortable and supportive environment enabling individuals to attain the personal growth they desire.
